FOs: SnB Nation Head Hugger and Knitted Bangles

Between brushing all of the damn chocolate that has "bloomed,"

packing up all of the chocolates that haven't sold,

and smelling the raspberry chamborde truffles,

I, for some reason, have still be extremely bored at work. Most of my version of Stitch and Bitch Nation's Head Hugger was done in complete boredom in the back room of Betsy Ann Chocolates. Since I didn't have the book with me, the pattern is pretty much of my own design. The only thing that I used from the book was the the flower pattern, and, I must say, I like mine so much better than the original.

Instead of working the 1x1 ribbing after making my i-cord, I made this by using stockinette with a garter stitch border. It was only after completion of the actual "hugger" that I realized how stupid I was. stockinette curls up. Duh! So, I decided to line the inside of the band to prevent any major curling AND hide all of the yarn/yarn ends from sewing on the flowers.

The lining was just some fabric I had bough a couple of years ago because I thought that it was pretty:

Vintage buttons from my MeMa's stash!

As most of my friends know, I have a hard time just sitting and watching a movie. I feel compelled to knit. So, during my sappy movie marathon last night, this is what I came up with...

BANGLES!!!

The seaming is almost invisible:

If/when I start up my crafting business, I think that I'm going to be making these suckers in every single color imaginable. BRILLIANT!

I found your blog from Craftster. I really like your Head Hugger -- tons better than the original!
